This very clever Google Chrome plugin takes the already useful Google Trends output and feeds it some steroids.
You, your content team, your SEO people and your data peeps should all know this exists.

Start to understand the trending topics around your industry / sector / products to understand what the tool is capable of. If you're not going to invest in the pro version then bear in mind you only have 10 searches per month to play with.
Your content team should really be the ones who use this tool so its them you'll want to show. It will help them to understand what is trending, whats a fad and most excitingly related keywords and questions (great for creating content which presses the SEO buttons).
